The Representation helps residents of the European Netherlands in Curaçao, Sint Maarten or Aruba in emergency situations. For example, situations due to a criminal offence or an accident. But in the past, for example, also in (natural) disasters and the sudden outbreak of Covid-19.
We offer help to:
- Residents of the European Netherlands who do not live permanently in Curaçao, Sint Maarten or Aruba
- Holders of a valid Dutch passport for refugees
- Holders of a valid Dutch alien's passport
Prisoner care
If residents of the European Netherlands are arrested in Curaçao, Sint Maarten or Aruba, the Representation will be informed by local authorities. The Representation then provides information, engages aid organisations and can, on request, contact relatives or acquaintances.
Other emergencies
In other cases of emergency you should contact us yourself. You can reach us from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. Under no circumstances does the Representation of the Netherlands provide tickets to return to the Netherlands or financial assistance.
