Public Counter Reopens by Appointment on March 10

Due to the relocation, the VNW counter remained closed to the public during the first week of March. On Tuesday, March 10, the counter opened at the new address, and visitors can come by to pick up a DigiD activation code, obtain a stamp for a certificate of life (attestation de vita), apply for an eNIK, and ask consular questions.

Making appointments by email no longer possible

Since March 2026, it is no longer necessary to make an appointment by email or telephone to pick up a DigiD activation code, a stamp for an Attestation de Vita, or to apply for an eNIK or a (non-urgent) consular inquiry. Visitors can visit the counter at Cas Coraweg 1 without an appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:00 and 10:00 AM and 2:00 and 4:00 PM.

Urgent consular questions

For urgent consular questions, you can email vnwinfo@minbzk.nl. VNW will contact you as soon as possible. You can also call on working days at telephone number 434 3200 between 08:00 and 17:00.

Phone Availability

As of March 10, VNW can be reached again at the familiar old number +599 9 434 3200. The previously communicated temporary telephone number (+599 9 650 0672) has been discontinued as of March 1.
