Do you live in Aruba, Curaçao or Sint Maarten and are you eligible to vote for the elections to the Dutch House of Representatives and/or the European Parliament? Then you can register with the municipality of The Hague as a voter outside the Netherlands.
By default, you will vote by letter as a 'voter outside the Netherlands' after registration. For this you will receive a postal vote certificate and a ballot paper. The postal vote certificate is sent by post to the Dutch Representation 12 weeks before an election. You have to pick it up there yourself. You will be notified when your postal vote certificate is ready for you.
The ballot paper will be sent approximately 4 weeks before the election. You will receive the ballot paper by e-mail or post, depending on the choice you made when registering. If you have chosen the 'post' option, you can pick up the ballot paper from the Dutch Representation.
You submit the completed ballot paper together with the signed postal voting certificate to the Representation in Aruba, Curaçao or Sint Maarten (the postal polling station). To do this, strictly follow the steps described in the accompanying manual.
