We would like to invite you to watch the video presentation on the lessons learned ‘Hurricane season 2024 – busy with a peculiar break’. In this presentation, Dr. Nadia Bloemendaal, assistant professor in tropical cyclone risk and researcher for the The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI), explained the peculiarities of last year’s hurricane season. The Departmental Coordination Centre for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (DCC I&W) complimented this from a policy perspective. The insights gained can be used in the next few months as each of us start to prepare for the coming hurricane season.
