The Representative of the Netherlands in Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten is the director of the Representation. Each office has a head. These heads are also deputy representatives of the Netherlands in Aruba, Curaçao or Sint Maarten.

Representative

Gerbert Kunst is the Representative of the Netherlands as of 15 May 2025. He studied law in Leiden and also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Public Administration (MPA). In his last position, he was Director of International Policy at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW), where he was also responsible for the relationship with the Caribbean part of the Kingdom, and was involved in the establishment of the strategic education alliance. 
He was previously Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the 13 states on the west coast of the US in San Francisco (2016 - 2020) and Director of European and International Affairs at the Ministry of Economic Affairs (2012 - 2016). Before that, he held positions as Head of Department at the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the EU and at the embassy in Berlin for the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Fisheries, and was Deputy Director of Legal Affairs at that department.

Head of the Oranjestad office and deputy representative

Vincent Storimans has been head of the Representation of the Netherlands in Oranjestad since July 3, 2023. He studied European private law at the University of Amsterdam and worked as a diplomat at the Dutch embassies in Moscow, Beijing, and Washington D.C., with his last position being that of Deputy Consul General in San Francisco. From 2013 until 2015 he was the Private Secretary of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, then Lilianne Ploumen..

Head of the Philipsburg office and deputy representative

Eelco Boomsma has been Head of Office of the Representation of the Netherlands in Philipsburg, since January 6th, 2025. He studied Archaeology and Cultural History of Central and South America at Leiden University. Eelco also holds a Masters in History of International Relations from the London School of Economics. From 2020 to 2024 he worked as Embassy Counsellor Strategy and Regional Affairs at the Dutch Embassy in Singapore. He also held various positions in the Netherlands at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations in the field of politics, administration and international cooperation.
